Silpakorn University is primarily based in the Thai capital of Bangkok, although in 1997 the university established a new campus in the western province of Phetchaburi. The main campus of the university is known as the Phra Palace, for its proximity to the Thai Royal Family’s Grand Palace.

Faculty Information. The Faculty of Arts was founded by Professor M. L. Pin Malakul, the President of Silpakorn University at that time, as the university’s fifth faculty, but the first school established at the new campus on the grounds of Sanam Chandra Palace in Nakhonpathom Province.
In 2018, Silpakorn University is now composed of 13 Faculties, 1 Graduate school and 1 College covering major fields of art, design, science and technology, health science, social science and humanities. The University is located at 5 main campuses.
