Mount Allison University (MtA) is an undergraduate liberal arts university in Sackville, New Brunswick. It was founded in 1839 and became the first university in British Empire to award a baccalaureate to a woman by the name of Grace Annie Lockhart in 1875.
Mount Allison offers bachelor's degrees in arts, science, commerce, fine arts, and music, as well as master's degrees in biology and chemistry and biochemistry, and certificates in bilingualism.
