Dragages et Travaux Publics was founded in Vietnam in 1902. In its early years, the company was active throughout the Indochina region, with one of its maiden commissions being the dredging of the Mekong Delta.
Dragages Hong Kong is a joint subsidiary of Bouygues TP and Bouygues Bâtiment International. It was founded more than 60 years ago. It has 1 400 employees and is the benchmark for underground works in Hong Kong, but also takes part in large bridge projects such as the 9.4-km-long section of the bridge connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau.
In 1910 its name changed to Société Française D’Entreprises de Dragages et de Travaux Publics (SFEDTP) and during the next three decades, it was involved in the development of Vietnam’s land and maritime infrastructure as well as the urban modernisation of Hanoi, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh, Dalat and Tourane.

From its dredging of the Mekong Delta experience came the expertise which qualified Dragages et Travaux Publics for its first Hong Kong contract - the construction of the Kai Tak airport runway in 1955. Forty years on, and Dragages is a major presence in the territory.
