  2. St Edmund's College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge [4] in England. Founded in 1896, it is the second-oldest of the three Cambridge colleges oriented to mature students, which accept only students reading for postgraduate degrees or for undergraduate degrees if aged 21 years or older.

  6. The origins of St Edmund’s College lie in the repeal of the Test Act in 1871, permitting Jewish, Non-Conformist and Roman Catholic scholars to return to the University of Cambridge for the first time since the religious revolution of the sixteenth century.

  7. Postgraduate. During the past decade, Cambridge has seen a large expansion in the numbers of postgraduate students studying at the University. Over three-quarters of the students at St Edmund’s are studying towards a higher degrees, usually the PhD, MPhil or LLM degrees.
