Oct 4, 2023 · Typically and not specifically, (as mentioned need to dig deeper), the key in the ignition, sends a code to BSI, the BSI then unlocks the ECU, however if the BSI and ECU don't match – won't unlock (engine is immobilised, won't start) , same if the key is NOT recorded for use in the BSI.

  4. May 4, 2008 · converted to 2.0L engine. My other suggestions: 1. Maybe you can check if it is possible to transplant the NEW Prince engine co-developed by PSA-BMW. Go for the 1.6L THP150 or THP175 engine. It's much more powerful than the 2.0L EW10J4 engine, and also having max torque of 240nm from as low as 1,400RPM all the way up to 4,000RPM constantly.

  6. Nov 9, 2004 · Peugeot didnt use the GTi-6 engine in the 206 due to emissions. The 206 GTi engine is also used in the 406 so it makes sense to use an engine which is already in production. And 30bhp extra from the GTi-6 engine isn't going to make a massive difference to the 206 GTi.

  7. Reading your post again, you have to swap the complete drivetrain (engine, gearbox, maybe driveshafts), replace soms parts while you are at it (clutch, timing belt for example) and maybe even the brakes, suspension since the 2.0 engine has more power/weights more.
