Schorndorf is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located approximately 26 km east of Stuttgart. Its train station is the terminus of the S2 line of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. The town is also sometimes referred to as Die Daimlerstadt (The Daimler Town in English), as it is the town in which Gottlieb Daimler (1834–1900) was born.

Oct 6, 2019 · Schorndorf is the Daimler Town with wonderful old buildings. The inner town is easily visited by taking the train, 200-300 metres and you arrive in the old town. There is a lot of history here and it is easy to see people are proud of their town. Sunday is a good day to see and watch the town and people. Lovely walks.
