  6. Oct 24, 2005 · One trick I have used is to define a 1206 resistor which had a short circuit built into the copper layout. I suspect the pads were not directly shorted but had a 0.02 thou gap which would prevent the software getting upset but would still work correctly! This way you can define the routing to give nice star points in ground paths. Unfortunately ...

  8. Sep 14, 2004 · I think that API RP-14C (offshore safety shutdown) used to have a guideline. First define the normal operating range. I think that the high shutdown value was 15% above the normal range. Low may not even require a shutdown unless gas blowby would cause overpressure problems in the drain system. I do not have a copy of API RP-14C handy. John

  9. May 7, 2007 · thread794-186287. I have been trying to find if there is a similar rule for Section VIII-1 pressure vessels to allow temporary increases in pressure and temperature avove the design conditions as is allowed in B31.3 for process piping. I don't know if that would be considered as "abnormal pressures" under UG-22 (i), where you can use a higher ...

  10. Nov 11, 2009 · As already noted, this is more commonly a value provided by the end user to define the expected range of suction conditions (min, max and rated). The standard bearing is only capable of operating up to 200 psi suction ...
