This scares Allie, thinking she’ll be discovered by authorities. She confesses what she ran from to Maria, who promises to protect her. The video of Eve makes its rounds, however.

For me, this is the first time I've felt like "Just a Girl" worked! He took her as a girl and never saw her as anything more, and then she rage-roomed him. The screaming and facial expressions and preparing to pretend for security — it all flowed seamlessly with the song. But I agree with you on the rest.
The world of The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, all teenage girls in the world develop the power to electrocute people at will. It's hereditary, it's inbuilt, and it can't be taken away from them.
