The Royal Malaysia Police Museum (Malay: Muzium Polis Diraja Malaysia) is a museum that showcases the history of the Royal Malaysia Police, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The museum includes exhibits from the history of the Royal Malaysia Police since its origins under British colonial rule until the 1970s.
The Royal Malaysian Police Museum contains a fascinating collection of artefacts and exhibits detailing the role and history of the RMP from its inception up to the present day. Since 1997 the RMP Museum has been housed at No.5 Jalan Perdana (formerly Jalan Venning) in a building which used to be the Senior Police Officers' Mess.
The museum has a very good lay-out and has a lot of exhibits inside and outside. It shows the history of the police force in Malaysia and it also has a good display of weaponry used from the olden times. The museum has some outdoor exhibits (armoured cars and field pieces), starts with historical galleries of the old history of Malaysia, displays on each of the Colonial periods (Portuguese, Dutch, British) and then into the modern decades of policing.
