Sir James Brooke, Raja Putih Sarawak (29 April 1803 – 11 Jun 1868) ialah seorang tentera British dan pengembara yang mengasaskan Kerajaan Sarawak di Borneo. Baginda memerintah sebagai Raja Putih. pertama Sarawak dari tahun 1841 sehingga kemangkatannya pada tahun 1868.
Sir James Brooke, Rajah [note] of Sarawak KCB (29 April 1803 [3] – 11 June 1868), was a British soldier and adventurer who founded the Raj of Sarawak in Borneo. He ruled as the first White Rajah of Sarawak from 1841 until his death in 1868. Brooke was born and raised during the Company Raj of the British East India Company in India.
As the first ‘White Rajah’ of Sarawak, James Brooke quickly set about establishing a modest form of government, combining existing practices and customs with his own liberal humanitarian ideals.
