Tun Abdul Razak bin Dato’ Hussein telah dilahirkan pada 11 Mac 1922 di Pulau Keladi, Pekan, Pahang. Beliau merupakan anak sulung kepada Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar Datuk Hussein Mohd Taib dan Hajah Teh Daud dalam kalangan keluarga bangsawan Melayu tradisional.
