ABRSM is the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music, delivering over 650,000 music exams and assessments every year in 93 countries.
From the date of booking you have 28 days to log in to your ABRSM account and take your exam. There are a small number of dates when you will not be able to take exams. You can check these on our dates and fees page .
Candidate Identification Policy. For some exams, candidates will need to show a form of photographic identification. The policy, available to download on this page, provides more information. You can also download a full list of qualifications affected by the policy.

Log in and select ‘Public Venue & Digital Exams‘. Select the ‘territory’ where the exams will take place and then choose your exam. Enter the exam details, including any access requirements or reasonable adjustments.
How to create your ABRSM account. Before you book exams, you will need to register and create an ABRSM account. You must be aged 18 or over to book exams. Candidates of any age can also have accounts and must have one to take an online Music Theory exam.
