This historic and pleasingly designed ashram, built in 1904 and part of the global Ramakrishna movement, is a well-loved subject for photographers. It offers courses in yoga, as well as various social programs for the underprivileged.
The building was constructed in 1908 in honour of Swami Vivekananda. It provided education and spiritual development for the youth and community in that area. Due to financial problems it was facing problems.
