The Penang Botanic Gardens is a botanical garden within the city of George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Situated at Jalan Air Terjun (Waterfall Road), it is also colloquially known as the Waterfall Gardens because of the cascading waterfall nearby.
Over a hundred years’ old, the Penang Botanic Gardens is where you can ‘escape’ to for a dose of greenery. It is famous for its flora and fauna namely the long-tailed macaque monkeys that roam freely in the gardens.

The gardens are located at Jalan Kebun Bunga and it is Malaysia’s only botanic gardens. There are many ferns and cactus houses too, including some rare species. The Botanic Gardens is open every day from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m and there is parking available.
