Heroes of Newerth (HoN) is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game originally developed by S2 Games for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. The game idea was derived from the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne custom map Defense of the Ancients and was S2 Games' first MOBA title.

Sep 23, 2009 · This is a quick list of heroes to choose when starting play in Heroes of Newerth. With the many options and little help, it is hard to figure out which hero to choose in order to have a good chance of an enjoyable game (and lets not forget the added bonus of teammates not screaming at you!)
As of Patch 2.0.4, there are 36 Legion heroes and 37 Hellbourne heroes.
