The first line implemented under the Klang Valley MRT Project is the 46km-long MRT Kajang Line. The line begins from Kwasa Damansara, located to the north-west of Kuala Lumpur, and runs through the city-centre of Malaysia’s capital city before ending in Kajang, a fast-developing town to the south-east of the city.

Elevated Station Design. The architecture of the elevated station for the Kajang Line is based on the concept of wakaf. A wakaf is a traditional pavilion found in Malaysia built for travellers to stop and rest. Like a traditional wakaf, the elevated station is open-sided, allowing for natural lighting and ventilation.
