Feb 29, 2024 · An automated Windows 11 update seems to have been the cause of this, installing Windows Spotlight with no real notice given. Notification simply instructed to restart laptop to install updates, then it changed the desktop background with no explanation, and also seems to have installed unwanted widgets (weather and financial markets) on my 'lock screen'!
Jan 24, 2024 · It is typically in this location. You can use Windows + R keys to launch the run box, and paste this path, but make sure you preplace [your username] with the actualy username. When you get to this folder, you do need to copy the files out and rename it with the .jpg extension. So it is quite a process.
Jan 29, 2024 · Settings=>Personalization=>Background=>Right click on chosen pic=> Set for desktop... (as it shown on pic 2). It didn`t work. When I chose some pic to set it as background for one of the desktops, system set it automatically as background for all of them.

Right click on image I want, select "Set for desktop >" and then click the name of desktop to change. 4. Nothing changes. **insert frustration and disappointment**.
Windows+R> Winver> press enter. It seems that in some versions, Microsoft has removed this option and it is not possible to come out of modern standby mode.
