Designed by Gensler, BMO Stadium is home to Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), and the National Women’s Soccer League’s Angel City. Opened in April 2018, the 22,000-seat development is the first open-air stadium to be built in Los Angeles in over 30 years.
Banc of California Stadium is the new stadium of Los Angeles expansion team Los Angeles FC. The stadium was part of LAFC’s proposal to join the MLS as a new franchise team. Plans were announced in May 2015, six months after LAFC had been granted the MLS franchise.
