Hope Township is a township in Warren County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 1,835, [7] a decrease of 117 (−6.0%) from the 2010 census count of 1,952, [16] [17] which in turn reflected an increase of 61 (+3.2%) from the 1,891 counted in the 2000 census. [18]
History of Hope Township. A short ride through the Village of Hope immediately shows visitors and residents that the community developed quite differently from most nearby towns in the mid 1700’s. This is because Hope is one of the earliest planned communities in the Country, having been established by German Moravians in 1769.
