    While Anne follows the books closely, Lantern Hill does not, but adds an element of mysticism that is entirely contrary to the beliefs of Lucy Maud Montgomery and seemed entirely pointless. I was very disappointed in this. However, the acting is quite good, so that helped redeem the movie.
