Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings. Below Audience and Visibility click How people find and contact you. From here, you can adjust the relevant settings. There are separate settings for your email address and your phone number.

Click Search Facebook in the top left of Facebook and enter your friend's name, then press Enter. Click People in the left menu. You can choose to filter by city, education, work and mutual friends. Depending on the filters you select, you may need to enter more of your friend's info. You can apply as many filters to your search as you'd like.
To see your friend lists: From your News Feed, click Friends in the left menu. If you don't see it, click See More. Click Custom Lists, then click a friend list to open.
