Actually if you blew a hole into a megastructure pressurized environment, it wouldn’t immediately collapse like later in the film, or say in the movie Alien Resurrections. Something as large as a mining facility would take days before there was a significant decrease in atmosphere to make a noticeable difference with the size of a bullet hole.
