There will be many lectures and laboratory classes to go to, and many examples papers to work on; but you will be working with a group of students with similar abilities, and the College provides supervisors to help you with your studies. Emmanuel takes slightly more Engineering students than the average across the colleges, typically 16 each year.
Supporting Us. Sir Walter Mildmay founded the College in 1584 on the basis of promoting learning. He started the tradition of fundraising for Emmanuel, which has continued ever since. Diana Lloyd gives medical & mental health advice and undertakes minor treatment. The College Health Centre is open on Mondays 1200-1500, and Tuesday, Thursday & Friday afternoons 1630-1830. College Lecturer in English. Corinna Russell took up her post in 2002. She studied for her BA at New Hall, Cambridge, and for her PhD, on genre and ‘the ethics of response’ in Romantic Period literature, at Jesus College, Cambridge. She spent two years lecturing at Liverpool University before joining the Fellowship at Emmanuel.
