Skin conditions are very common in children and adolescents. Atopic dermatitis or eczema affects up to 20% of school-going children. Other common skin conditions in children and teenagers include viral warts, molluscum, acne (pimples), moles and psoriasis.
The KK Gynaecological Cancer Centre is a one-stop centre that provides for the needs of women with cervical, uterus and ovarian cancer, and other gynaecological conditions. The centre cares for the patient in a holistic manner, from screening to diagnosis, treatment, and helping patients cope with the illness emotionally.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine comprises a dynamic and forward-looking team of close to 200 staff including pathologists, medical laboratory scientists and medical technologists. The department offers a comprehensive diagnostic service for all aspects of laboratory testing for women and children.
