Selangor Turf Club is a horse-racing track located in Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is one of four horse-racing courses in the country; the other two are in Ipoh, Perak, Penang and Kuching, Sarawak .
History of the Selangor Turf Club (SLTC) at a canter: Early 1890s: The British Resident, Sir William Maxwell, started amateur racing in Selangor. 1896: SLTC was established. Sir Frank Swettenham, the new British Resident, was its first President. Membership stood at a grand 110.
Apr 19, 2024 · The Selangor Turf Club will close its main track for upgrade and returfing effective 15 April 2024. Following the successful results from the test plot upgrade between 950m to 850m in July last year, the Club will proceed with Phase 1 of upgrading from 550m to the Finishing Post.
