Jun 11, 2024 · Crystallised honey appears to be made of two sorts of crystals: the ones that bees eat easily in winter by diluting with condensation or water, and the big crystals that they chuck out in spring. The big crystals always take longer to dissolve by warming, by which time, as Finman pointed out, the weight and warmth will collapse the comb; expect that fondant is made of universal small crystals.
May 25, 2012 · 100 bees? Is that all? In that case they are bumbles, not honey bees. Leave them alone and the nest will be deserted by late summer. Honey bee colonies normally have tens of thosands of bees at this time of the year. If they are honey bees (and you have not seen the nest), they have likely been there a long time and are about to swarm (reproduce).

Nov 30, 2008 · Finally I showed the letter to a friend who is a bee keeper and also a Magistrate. She took the letter to a District Judge to ask his opinion. And this is where it gets interesting. The Judge told her, that under UK law Livestock is considered to be a vertebrate. Insects do not come under the ruling of section 12, as they are not vertebrates, therefore the council cannot force their removal.
