The Nikon D7000 is a 16.2-megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR) model announced by Nikon on September 15, 2010. It replaced the D90 as the top end consumer camera, by using much of the technology and controls from the earlier D5000, in a larger more robust body similar to the flagship D300 series.
Apr 11, 2020 · The Nikon D7000 is a mid-tier DSLR with a high-resolution 16.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor and a powerful EXPEED 2 processor at its heart. I had a chance to test out several copies of the D7000 over a period of 3+ months. Due to my busy schedule and very high demand on the camera, I was not able to obtain a copy earlier to test.

Dec 1, 2010 · The Nikon D7000 produces high quality output in almost any shooting situation. Default JPEGs are clean of artifacts and with natural colors and tonality. At a pixel level low ISO images are very slightly soft but still show very good detail which can be further increased by shooting in RAW.

Apr 11, 2020 · The tougher construction, added speed, new 39-point AF system, ability to record 1080p movies, dual memory card slots and better controls make the D7000 a nice upgrade for the current Nikon entry-level and D70/D80/D90 owners. The Nikon D7000 has a few features that can only found on the D300s and higher pro-level DSLR bodies.
