John Williams Macy Jr. (April 6, 1917 – December 22, 1986) was a United States government administrator and civil servant. Biography. Born in Chicago, he received a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1938. In 1938 Macy moved to Washington, D.C., where he began his government service and studied at American University.
