Jennifer Simone Macide Şebnem Schaefer (known in Turkey as Şebnem Schaefer and in Germany as Jennifer Schäfer; born 9 February 1984) is a German fashion model, actress and TV presenter.
Schaefer, the Sheehan Family Collegiate Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, studies ion transport and electrochemical processes with a focus on improving batteries. Her research group of graduate and undergraduate students develops new materials and tests how these polymers function to make batteries better.

The Schaefer group investigates ion transport and interfacial phenomena, with an emphasis on electrochemical energy storage systems. Of particular interest are polymer-based electrolytes and high energy density metal batteries.
