Steen Bille (1565–1629) was a Danish councillor and diplomat. He was the son of Jens Bille and Karen Rønnow, and is sometimes called "Steen Jensen Bille". His father compiled a manuscript of ballads, Jens Billes visebog .

In India, the two Danish trading stations, Tranquebar in south India and Frederiksnagore (Serampore) in Bengal, were to be officially handed over to the British East India Company. The voyage came to be known as the first Galathea expedition. It was led by Captain Steen Bille, and on board were well over 200 people.
