Mr. Eric Willliams was elected to the House of Representatives in 1995. His father, Augustus Williams, also served in public office as Mayor of Port-of-Spain. Mr. Williams served in opposition between 1995 and 2001 as the Member for Port-of-Spain South.
Eric Williams and Soy Moyou’s daughter, Erica Williams Connell, would go on to become the founding curator of the Eric Williams Memorial Collection Research Library, Archives & Museum at The University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago.
