Hideo Oguni (小国 英雄, Oguni Hideo, 9 July 1904 – 5 February 1996) was a Japanese writer who wrote over 100 screenplays. He is best known for co-writing screenplays for a number of films directed by Akira Kurosawa , including Ikiru , The Seven Samurai , Throne of Blood and The Hidden Fortress . [2]

小国 英雄 （おぐに ひでお、 1904年 （明治37年） 7月9日 - 1996年 （平成8年） 2月5日 ）は、 日本 の 脚本家 、 映画監督 。 青森県 八戸市 出身。 来歴. 青森県 八戸市 柏崎新町の母の実家玉内家で誕生。 旧制八戸中学校（現・ 青森県立八戸高等学校 ）時代に同郷の友、 松下正寿 の兄・正臣の影響で 武者小路実篤 の作品に傾倒し、 小説 を実篤に送るなど 文学 に目覚めた。 実篤の勧めで 日本バプテスト 神学校 （現・ 関東学院大学 ）に進学し卒業 [1] 。 白樺派 の影響を受け、実篤主宰の 新しき村 に参加する。 関東大震災 に遭遇し帰郷するも、「大震災救援」のための演劇活動に精力を注いだ。
