Adam Brooks (born September 3, 1956) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, and actor. He is best known for writing and directing Definitely, Maybe (2008) and for writing screenplays for French Kiss (1995), Wimbledon (2004), and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004).

You have been a successful writer for a long time, what led you to take the step to direct? I began as a director. It’s hard to get a movie made and I decided as a director I wanted to do only the films that I wanted to do. I found a good balance in being a screenwriter and writing in my career.
