Premise. Wei Wuxian, a loathed cultivator of what some called "dark and demonic arts", is resurrected 16 years after his tragic death. His return to the world brings him to reunite with the people in his first life, including his soulmate, the honoured Lan Wangji.
Wen Ning makes his way to Dafan Mountain, appearing when Wei Wuxian once more used demonic cultivation to battle the possessed Heavenly Maiden. Wen Ning successfully fights the Heavenly Maiden, saving Jin Ling, Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, and multiple other juniors.
Wen Ning is a branch family member of the Wen Clan and Wen Qing's younger brother. When he was alive, he was a stutterer and shy around people. In his youth, he met Wei Wuxian during an archery tournament, and later protected both him and Jiang Cheng during the Siege of Lotus Pier.
