Robert Scott Christiansen (born May 8, 1949) is a former professional American football defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Buffalo Bills in 1972 . For the 1971 season playing for the UCLA Bruins , he was named to the All-Conference First-team.
Bob Christiansen has devoted his career to saving animal lives through education and Community Animal Management Systems. Today, Mr. Christiansen works to initiate animal welfare philanthropy to fund and support Community Veterinary Care Clinics for companion animals in need.

Bob's work along with his USGS colleagues revealed the details of Yellowstone's explosive volcanic past including mapping and dating of past super eruptions 2.1 million years ago, 1.3 million years ago and 640,000 years ago.
