Biography. Having started his career as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam on the 1998 romantic drama Dil Se.., Shaad Ali made his directorial debut in 2002 with the Rani Mukerji and Vivek Oberoi-starrer Saathiya. Apart from directing, Shaad was also seen in minor roles in a handful of movies.
