30 Jul 2021 · Guyanese singer of international acclaim, Mark Holder, died Thursday morning in Canada after a period of illness, relatives confirmed. He was 74 years old. Holder was recognised as a pioneer of Caribbean music and was well-known for songs such as “Something of Value” and “Hold On To Your First Love”.
Mark Holder was born on 18 January 1969 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA. Mark is a producer and manager, known for Beasts of No Nation (2015), The World of Stephanie St Clair and Untitled Tim Story/Tulsa Project. Mark has been married to Christine Cameron since 15 June 2006. They have two children.
