Ayo Edebiri (/ ˈ aɪ oʊ ə ˈ d ɛ b ər i / Ah-yuh ə-DEB-ər-ee; born October 3, 1995) is an American actress, comedian, and television writer. She has played chef Sydney Adamu in the comedy-drama series The Bear since 2022, for which she has won a Golden Globe Award , a Screen Actors Guild Award , and a Primetime Emmy Award .
