Spencer Robert Strider (born October 28, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Clemson Tigers, and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2021.

Apr 19, 2024 · ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Braves ace Spencer Strider began to feel discomfort in his right elbow in spring training but didn’t realize the severity of the injury until learning he needed season-ending surgery. Strider said he had a bone fragment develop following Tommy John surgery in 2019 that caused the ulnar collateral ligament to become unstable.
Spencer Strider is a 22-year-old right-handed pitcher who was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2017 and the Atlanta Braves in 2020. He made his major league debut in 2021 and has a career ERA of 3.47 and 495 strikeouts in 329.2 innings.
