George Heriot's School is a private primary and secondary day school on Lauriston Place in the Lauriston area of Edinburgh, Scotland. In the early 21st century, it has more than 1600 pupils, 155 teaching staff, and 80 non-teaching staff. [2]

For 350 years George Heriot’s School has served as one of Scotland’s most distinguished schools. Today, it flourishes as an independent co-educational day school. Children between 3 and 18, from in and around the city of Edinburgh, form a vibrant school community.
George Heriot’s School is a happy school. We care about our pupils and they care about each other. It is an ethos rooted in the Heriot’s Foundation which remains the beating heart of our school. We have high expectations of our young people and ask each individual to try their best.
