The Pasadena Playhouse was established in 1917 and is the official State Theatre of California. In recent years, The Playhouse has become instrumental in launching new works and landmark revivals for the American theatre.
I enjoy going to plays and the Pasadena Playhouse is a nice place to see small theatre plays. It was built about 100 years ago and has that Southern California 1920s feel about it. The internal architecture is 1920s also. I saw “The Woman in Black” which was a gothic horror on a minimalist stage.
