Richard Li Han-hsiang (Chinese: 李翰祥; pinyin: Lǐ Hànxiáng; 7 March 1926 in Jinxi, Liaoning – 17 December 1996 in Beijing) was a Chinese film director. Li directed more than 70 films in his career beginning in the 1950s and lasting till the 1990s.
Richard Li Han Hsiang (Hanzi: 李翰祥; Pinyin: Lǐ Hànxiáng; 7 Maret 1926 – 17 Desember 1996 adalah seorang sutradara Tiongkok. Li menyutradarai lebih dari 70 film sepanjang kariernya dari 1950an sampai 1990an.
Li arrived in Hong Kong in 1948 and began his career as a contract actor and set designer. In 1954, he directed "Blood in Snow" which won critical acclaim and paved the way to his career with Shaw Brothers. Li made over 70 films in his lifetime and was particularly adept in Huangmei opera movies.
Born 1926, originated from Liaoning, China, Li Han-hsiang started his movie career in Hong Kong in 1948, firstly as an actor in The Orphan Girl, before directing his first independent production Love’s Elegy.
