Island of Fire (Chinese: 火燒島) is a 1990 Taiwanese-Hong Kong action film directed by Kevin Chu, and starring Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Sammo Hung, Tony Leung Ka-fai and Tou Chung-hua. The film was shot in Taiwan and the Philippines in 42 days from 5 April until 17 May 1989.

Though bleak and brutal at times, “Island of Fire” is quite an entertaining watch and the four supporting actors are undoubtedly a draw card. Besides, in a totally unrelated scene, we get the pleasure of watching a voluptuous girl in a wet shirt bouncing along trying to change her flat tire in the pouring rain.
Feb 1, 2011 · “The Prisoner” (aka “Island of Fire”) is a considerably better movie than its reputation might suggest. Jackie Chan did this movie in the early ’90s as a favor to Jimmy Wang Yu, who saved his ass from the Triads in 1980.
Sep 23, 2011 · Chan is a gambler who gets incarcerated for accidentally killing the brother of a club owner who has mob ties. Lau is the club owner, who in turn provokes his own incarceration in order to get revenge on Chan. Not as complicated as it might sound.
