Bedlam. Synopsis. In 1842 the gifted young English artist Richard Dadd went on a Grand Tour of Europe and the Middle East with his patron. On reaching Egypt he was suffering from delusions and sunstroke. He began to hear voices and become obsessed with the Egyptian god Osiris who told him to murder his father.
