Hassanal Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III [1] ( Jawi: حسن البلقية ابن عمر علي سيف الدين ٣; born 15 July 1946) is the Sultan of Brunei since 1967 and the prime minister of Brunei since independence from the United Kingdom in 1984. He is one of the few absolute monarchs in the world.
Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah ialah Perdana Menteri merangkap ketua kerajaan Brunei. Selain itu, baginda memegang ketiga-tiga kabinet menteri iaitu Menteri Pertahanan, Menteri Kewangan dan Menteri Hal Ehwal Luar Negeri dan Perdagangan.
