St Bede’s College is intended primarily for Catholic boys from Years 9-13. In terms of the Integration Agreement signed between the College and the Crown, a certain percentage of the total roll must consist of “Preference” pupils.
St Bede’s is the oldest Catholic boys’ college in the South Island and the only Catholic boys’ college catering for both boarders and day boys. Our rich history and tradition provides an excellent foundation to embrace the challenges of the modern era and prepare our boys to be Catholic leaders wherever life takes them.
St Bede’s College is a dual-Campus, independent Catholic College with approximately 1,900 students. With two locations in the south-eastern suburbs of Mentone and Bentleigh East – and a third Outdoor Education Campus at Phillip Island – the College caters for students from Years 7 to 12.
St Bede’s College offers courses in the main curriculum areas of Science, Maths, English, Social Sciences, Physical Education, Performance and Visual Arts, Technology, Te Reo, and Spanish. Other popular courses are Food Technology, Painting, Outdoor Pursuits, Sports Leadership, and Agriculture Science.
