V (or V: The Original Miniseries) is a two-part American science-fiction television miniseries, written and directed by Kenneth Johnson. First shown in 1983, it initiated the science-fiction franchise concerning reptilian aliens known as the "Visitors" trying to gain control of Earth, and of the ways the populace reacts.

In the 1983 V miniseries, a group of children are shown spray painting generic graffiti over the Visitors' propaganda posters, but are then shown how to spray the V over the posters by Abraham Bernstein, a Holocaust survivor, who explains the meaning of the sign to them as he defaces the first poster.

Nov 21, 2022 · My friend later bought the whole series (Miniseries & The Final Battle) on VHS, and I must’ve watched the whole thing at least 30 times over the years. Being able to watch this again as an adult is something special, and even though the special FX are a bit worn out by time, the overall atmosphere of this masterful piece of work still works ...
