7 Feb 2006 · The Royal Conservatory of Music (until 1947, known as Toronto Conservatory of Music) is the largest and oldest self-supporting institution of its kind in Canada, offering opportunities for learning and personal development through music in all Canadian provinces and territories, as well as a number of international settings.
9 Dis 2012 · Founding Years. In 1887 instruction was offered in practical and theoretical music as well as elocution, foreign languages, public school music, acoustics, piano tuning, and vocal anatomy and hygiene. Teachers were available for saxophone (1888) and for guitar and zither (1893).
