Andrea Zanzotto nasce il 10 ottobre del 1921 a Pieve di Soligo, in provincia di Treviso. I primi interessi letterari lo portano a conseguire la maturità classica come privatista e a iscriversi alla facoltà di Lettere dell’Università di Padova, dove si laurea nel 1942 con una tesi sull’opera di Grazia Deledda.
