Sep 1, 2021 · IHS Markit, reporting on its Malaysia Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), said today that production levels and new orders were facing “sustained reductions”, although the decline was at the softest rates in the past three months.
Nov 1, 2021 · KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 — The Malaysian manufacturing sector last month recorded the strongest expansion in new orders since April and the first rise in production in six months, according to the latest IHS Markit data.
Commenting on the latest survey results, IHS Markit chief business economist Chris Williamson said reviving demand, notably for exports, as lockdowns have eased has helped drive a welcome surge of growth for Malaysian manufacturing.
